Totallu 3 files. One is intro.txt which is what you are reading now. Another two are the animation which in 2 format, one is *.bik using RAD video tool and one is in *.avi format.

For this major project, I created an animation with a superb freeware [for non-commercial use] landscape modelling program called Terragen and a help tool to create terragen scripts. Both software can be downloaded from internet.
Firstly, I generated a scenery surface map by using terragen. The scenery has the landscape visualisation, special effects and recreation.

I have to modify its atmosphere to achieve some convincing clouds and haze effects. Shadows and realistic sunlight through the atmosphere are included. Then I designed the cloud layer(tightness) and water's waves and reflection. I also imported a ready-made surface map which include the rocks and grass. It makes the scene look very realistic. At higher level of height such as mountain top, I implied another layer of surface map that is snowy mountain. All sorts of relection, surfaces bumpiness, solid-look, camera position, realism, smoothing, canyonism, surface distribution and etc were taken into account. It is a combination of all three previous assignment.

After the scene is being prepared, I start to design the animation using Cam Path. It is a simple yet easy to use. My main idea is to make the one who watch it to feel as if they are sitting in a small airplane flying around few mountains at a very low height level. It is also touches the water. At different positions, I implied different speed and banking so that you can really feel its effect.

But due to my computer system is not meant for creating good realistic animation, I don't have a fast processor, not enough memory and don't have a good graphics card that support better graphics result. Therefore this project I created were produced at a lower resolution and speeds of the camera were limited. But you can still see my imagination in this project.

I really find that computer graphics is interesting and I hope i will get into this sort of career when I'm working especially designed for games, advertisement, products cover, and of course, movie. :-)
